CPR Certification (Optional)

Dear Parents/Guardians,

The CPR unit uses the HeartSaver in the Schools program from the American Heart Association (AHA). Students will learn how to recognize and respond to life-threatening emergencies, including adult, child, and infant cardiac arrest and choking.

If a student wishes to receive a HeartSaver CPR certification card, there is a $7 fee to cover the cost of the card. Certification is optional—all students will learn the skills, but not everyone needs to pay for the card.

To receive the certification, your child’s school Gmail address or your personal email account will be shared with the AHA so they can issue the electronic card (eCard). You may choose to use a personal email instead of the school account if preferred.

Please note: The AHA uses an electronic certification system and requires student names and email addresses. They do not sell information to third parties.
