The Spanish 4, 5 and Heritage 1 and 2 classes at Mounds View High will be going on a field trip to the Minnesota Zoo for a Spanish Language Day on February 19. This is an optional field trip and if a student chooses not to attend, (s)he/they will not be responsible for any content learned on the field trip. This is meant to expand knowledge and skills on the theme of animals.

There are over 40 stations at the zoo, manned by students from all over the Twin Cities who will be presenting various facts about zoo animals, using music, costumes, and props to interpret the animal exhibits throughout the zoo. There are usually close to 2,000 Spanish students in attendance on this day! Spanish 5 and Heritage 1 and 2 students will be manning their own stations.

The trip will be on Thursday, February 19. Students will miss most of the school day.

The cost for the field trip will be $15. Please either bring a lunch to eat in the zoo cafeteria or money to purchase a lunch at Midtown Global Market in Minneapolis.
